On April 13th, Mr. Bob Saroya, a Member of Parliament, invited members of the Canada Gansu Federation of Chamber of Commerce to his office to have a cordial exchange and congratulate the chamber on its establishment. MP Mr. Geng Tan also sent a congratulatory letter in the first place.

On April 15th, while the road condition was very difficult in Toronto due to the freezing rain, the guests and representatives of Greater Northwest China Federation of Entrepreneurial Businesses in Canada, Canada Shaanxi Chamber of Commerce, Council of Newcomer Organizations, Haishan Federation, Northwestern University of Technology Canadian Alumni Association and other guests still attended the meeting on time. The host of the conference, Xiaoning Wang, the executive vice president couldn't help but said emotionally: "The weather is bad today and we have encountered icy rain that has not been seen for many years, but everyone is still actively participating because of true love and deep affection for our Gansu!

Ms. Xiaoning Wang first introduced the guests and main members of the Chamber of Commerce to the participants. The honorary chairman Mr. Yunbo Zhang, the chairman Mr. Jianqiang Zhu, and the vice chairman Mr. Jiaqing Zhu failed to attend the meeting during a business trip. The conference read out congratulatory letters from Congressman Mr. Geng Tan, Congressman Mr. Bob Saroya, Gansu Overseas Chinese Federation, and the Great Northwest General Chamber of Commerce in Canada. Gratitude was also expressed for more than 20 congratulatory letters from the Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Overseas Chinese, Xi'an Federation of Overseas Chinese, Jinchang City Federation of Overseas Chinese, as well as hometown associations and chambers of commerce in Canada, Britain, the United States, Germany, France, Australia and other countries.

Mr. Shen Yang, co-chairman of the Council of Newcomer Organizations, delivered a warm speech. Mr. Jianyi Zhu came to congratulate the meeting on behalf of the Haishan Federation. He said: "The relationship between the two provinces of Ganshan and Shaanxi is just like the strength of ramen and noodles, and the deliciousness of beef and mutton." Mr. Zhu's ingenious metaphors were just right, and he won rounds of applause and laughter.

Finally, President Zhaoan Sui delivered an inauguration speech. He focused on the remarkable cooperation and achievements of Gansu Province and Canada in mining investment, import and export trade, real estate, technology and education in recent years.

Mr. Sui said that the Canada Gansu Federation Chamber of Commerce is full of talents and has extensive support from the three levels of government, provincial chambers of commerce and social organizations. The chamber of commerce will definitely be able to give full play to its role as a bridge and link, assist the governments and enterprises of the two countries in all-round business exchanges and cooperation, and integrate advantages.
