There is a special arrangement for this dinner, the red carpet is Chinese style. The guests wore roses on their chests, their faces were full of spring breeze, and they waved to give a glimpse of the small mountains. After walking the red carpet, the guests sang the national anthems of Canada and China on the podium, with affection and heroism.
Mr. Haicheng Wang first gave a welcome speech. He laughed and said that Mr. Hu Run brought Canada's first heavy snowstorm. He believed that "Hu Storm" would hover over Toronto for a long time. Mr. Haicheng Wang thanked Canadian Federal Government Prime Minister Trudeau, Ontario Premier Ford, Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti and 40 other politicians across all 3 levels of the goverment for sending congratulatory letters.
In the warm applause of the audience, Mr. Hu Run stepped onto the stage vigorously. He said that he did not like the term "rich", and he preferred to call it "the creator of wealth." The meaning of "rich" is too single to be consumed. But the government welcomes everyone who creates wealth. In 1999, Hu Run founded [Hurun Report] to build a global circle of Chinese friends, and has been going for 20 years. 2019 will be the beginning of another 20 years.
Mr. Vincent Ke, MPP of Ontario, delivered a congratulatory speech, hoping that through the continuous efforts of the Ford government, more job opportunities will be created and the economic vitality of Ontario will be amplified.
Mr. Billy Pang, MPP of Ontario, was a gentleman who spoke uniquely. Using the tune of "Small Town Story" and spoke the four sentence lyrics "Canada has so many talents, and Hu Run will not miss it. Ontario is always full of business, there are so many business opportunities" to humorously welcome more talents to invest in Ontario.

Mr. John (Jun) Wu, Dean of Ace Acumen Academy, won the 2019 Hurun Canada Award for Outstanding International School.
Mr. Wu is elegant and witty and loves education. He is the principal of Ace Acumen Academy and the dean and chairman of Toronto Ace Acumen Academy branch of the public St. Clair College. In the past two decades, he has helped educate over 20,000 international students and new immigrants from all over the world. He received the "Excellent Management Award" from St. Clair College for four consecutive years, making a significant contribution to Canadian multiculturalism.
Mr. Wu immigrated to Canada in 1998. He majored in English and Pedagogy at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China and the University of Toronto, Canada, and obtained a double master's degree.
Mr. Wu said that Ace Acumen Academy has 1,500 students, of which more than 1,000 are from India. Most Indian students come from the countryside. The parents trust and like this "bald" principal. They often have to use their land as mortgage to help their children study abroad.
Indian children are exceptional on enduring hardships. Mr. Wu often sees his students use their spare time to work in cafes, gas stations, convenience stores and other places to subsidize tuition fees.
Studies have found that among new immigrants to Canada, Chinese and Indian families generally value education. This generation of children is ambitious, hardworking and entrepreneurial, and will surely inject fresh vitality into Canada's political, economic and cultural ecology. Mr. Wu said it well: "Education is always the best investment"!

Since it is the Spring Festival Gala, of course there will be wonderful performances of dancing and singing. A Western beauty, slim, dressed in a traditional Chinese cheongsam, sang "The Moon Represents My Heart" in Chinese affectionately.
The Huawei Canada provided 3 latest models of Huawei mobile phones as prizes for this ceremony. Everyone is looking forward to it. There is a cute little boy Lucas who persists until the end of the party. I remember that three years ago, every time Apple released a new model, most of the young people in China were queuing up outside the store. Well, this is a particularly interesting reversal, which makes me happy.
