Toronto's brightest and most jubilant season has arrived. On July 21, 2019, a summer party for fellow Gansu folks jointly organized by Gansu Community Association of Canada and Canada Gansu Federation of Chamber of Commerce was held in E.T. Seton Park.

Street signs that are still familiar. "Gansu Community Association of Canada" in the early morning streets, under the trees, around the corner. As if saying silently: Dear folks, keep going, I am here.
The air is clear and the morning breeze is refreshing. The flags of the Association and the Canada Gansu Federation of Chamber of Commerce are shining blue and flying slightly. The banner of the Lanzhou University Toronto Alumni Association is bright and eye-catching.

Volunteers arrived early. Some prepare food, some registered attendees, and some made game props.
The children are having the most fun. In twos and threes, play a little airplane for a while, and play soccer for a while. Wow, you can also play badminton!

Little girl, do you want to paint with pen?

Soccer is very exciting.

At 12:30, the host Xiaoning Wang greeted everyone and the party officially began. The members smiled and listened carefully.
The first is a speech by President Junchang Yang of the Association. President Yang is very happy that the activities of fellow members are getting more and more lively. He is very grateful for the active participation of fellow Gansu folks and the generous sponsorship from the Canada Gansu Federation of Chamber of Commerce. President Yang asked each member to fill in his or her personal information, become a full member, and report it to the Association of Chinese Canadians, so that its easier to facilitate events and contact members.
Then there was a speech by President Zhaoan Sui of the Chamber of Commerce. President Sui reported the recent work of the Chamber of Commerce to fellow villagers. The funding for poor students in Jinchang Shuangwan Middle School in Gansu has been in place. Recently, he went back to China to visit the families of students in difficulties, hoping to help more difficult areas and more children. The contact work of Bethune's expert group is underway, and it is expected to take place in May 2020 to facilitate the integration of the top three hospitals in Gansu with the world's advanced medical services. President Sui finally wished the party a complete success.
Shijin Mu, Vice President of Lanzhou University Alumni Association, delivered a speech. He said that many of the members here are Lanzhou University alumni. Shijin Mu’s was not originally from Gansu, but he spent his youth in Lanzhou University and has a lot of affection for Gansu. The alumni of Lanzhou University are looking forward to spending a pleasant day with fellow Gansu folks.

The host and vice-president, Xiaoning Wang raised her hand to signal: Attention here, everyone!

The folks listening with smiles on their faces
At one o'clock in the afternoon, lunch is on time! The specialty dishes brought by the folks have long been neatly arranged. Gansu is on the tip of the tongue, dreaming around.
The organizing committee prepared Gansu specialties for the members this time. The Lanzhou Stuffed Peel made by President Yang’s wife Nancy is a must.
Grilled lamb skewers on site are the most popular! There is a professional "roasting officer" this year. Wilson volunteered and applied to be the "Chief Roasting Officer". Kevin and Nancy continue their studies. I don't know what secret formula Wilson used, which has a unique flavor. The fellow members waited by the grill waiting for the feast.

Have a taste of hometown again!

Nancy immersed herself in making stuffed peels, and the fellow members skewered the mutton, fast and fresh!

The lamb skewers are so delicious, I want one more!

Hong Liu thinking to herself: How come the lamb skewers grilled by Wilson and Peng Yuan are so delicious?

Zheng Danyang thought: Okay, Wilson, let's pose together!

Beautiful Selina, are you sprinkling flavor?
At 1:30 pm, the most exciting game begins! Adults, children, and the elderly have forgotten their age and played in the embrace of nature.
Game chief designer Kevin said, "Tug-of-war first to warm up." The three teams community association team, the chamber of commerce team, and the alumni association team each took turns to compete for victory or defeat. Many folks are members of the same three teams, trying their best in each team to compete with themselves. The referee was solemn and fair, and the cheerleaders shouted. Finally laughed together.

Qiang Guo, close your eyes and work hard!

Mu Shijin said: Keep your composure and win glory for the University of Lanzhou!

Oops, fell so happily!

The children are itching to see, and they want to compete too! Their thin arms held the thick ropes, earnestly making people laugh. The adults shouted: baby, come on! Come on baby! Clenching their fists and cheering for the children.

Sister Betty, for whom are you putting on a posture?

"Lanzhou University" team members clenched their fists and gritted their teeth for the children

Little Alysa, the victorious little red flower is here!

The tug of war is lost, Tina, hurry up and comfort the sad little boy
The most exciting thing is "radish squat"! Carrots, blue radishes, green radishes, yellow radishes, colorful radishes poked their heads out on the ground. Qi Qi squatted down and stood up quickly.

Oops, I cannot help laughing!

Aunt Yue'e is magnificent, and Uncle Huicong smiles timidly

No, I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts!
It's really moving to see the elders smiling like children in a foreign country. The adults are also eager to try, holding the hands of the children. We also want to play "Carrot Squat"! For a time, big and small radishes bloomed everywhere.

Captain, come on, which carrot do we mean?

Yes, the green radish!

Haha, green radish is invincible!

The green radish is pointing at us, carrots, hurry down!

The yellow radishes watched the game and were happy to bend forward and backward!
There are so many games. Look, touch the candy blindfolded. A sweet life must be explored in the dark. Put on the blindfold and draw, create in your imagination, open your eyes, and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Ten steps back, we are ready

I touched the candy bag first, so happy!

Jonathan, you also touched the candies!

Everyone listening carefully to Kevin’s explanation of the rules of the blindfolded drawing game

Ella, you painted well with your eyes blindfolded!
Running blindfolded. Wow, it's hard. A team of older children and a team of younger children. Run, eh, no. Have to wait for the little brothers and sisters. Slow down, don't worry, let's move forward together.
The little friends played aerial flipping on the grass. Fresh little flowers bloomed on the grass every time. The host Xiaoning Wang’s cheerful voice rang in his ears: Get the camera ready! One, two, three, take pictures!

Team up and ready to go

Damn, I can't run!

Flowers bloom
The game is in full swing. Lottery activities are also in order. Nostalgia is as sweet and strong as Tim Hortons' coffee.

Win the prize, go home and buy coffee

Aunt Xiaoning, where are my prize colored pens?
Come and go around. The fellows meet again, so kind. Chat together. The backbone of the alumni association gathered together and talked about things.

Both alumnus and fellow Gansu native, they are happy to meet often.

The clear clouds are light and the trees are dense and cool. I was so excited just now. Take a break. Draw for a while and read the book for a while. Completely relax.

Ella, let's read the book together

There is shade here, let's paint together
You can always see moving scenes. The contributions of the fellow members are so natural and silent. The calm eyes seemed to say: we are all a big family. Doing something for the folks brings people happiness.

Lovely Mili, auntie will learn from you!
5:30 pm. As the sun sets, the party has come to an end. Dear fellows, it is unforgettable to join hands and laugh together. We will meet again next year when the grass is green.
